Basic Info About Project:
This client wanted an easier way for them to go down the steep slope and enjoy the lake. So we turned the terraced spaces into separate patio areas. That way each family living in the estate could have their own private outdoor sitting and dining space.
To ensure safety, we replaced the old slippery ramp. We used low-rise granite steps, spacious landings, and a handrail for this. These changes made it easier to go up or down without getting tired.
The patios were built to allow rainwater to soak into the ground instead of running into the lake. We used boulders and natural fieldstones to construct the walls. This blends very well with the lakefront environment.
We also planted vegetation along the shore to protect the bank, provide food for wildlife, and add beauty throughout the seasons.
