Imagine lounging poolside in your own private oasis, surrounded by lush greenery and vibrant florals. This dream became a reality for the clients of a stunning Newburyport home, who sought to transform their backyard into an entertainment haven that was both functional and beautiful.

Their unique “L” shaped lot posed a bit of a challenge. The clients desired a pool that was close to the house, yet still allowed for ample yard space for outdoor activities. Additionally, the existing decks were taking up valuable real estate and needed a revamp.

The solution? The small terraced decks were demolished, and a large deck was created in their place. The pool was then situated closer to the house, allowing for maximum use of the remaining yard space. A seat wall and plant bed were added to shape and contain the pool area, while also creating a barrier between the pool and the adjacent driveway.

To level the sloped lawn area and create a perfect spot for yard games, loam and fill were brought in. An arborvitae hedge on the east side provided privacy, while butterflybush and hydrangea plantings brought vibrant color and texture to the landscape.
